RFI Responses
RFI 047 - the structural drawings show a W18x50 at grid C-7 but the architectural shows a 10 inch wall and there isnt room for the beam flange plus drywall plus the column. architect needs to either move the wall or we need a different beam. this affects framing on level 3 and 4. need answer by wednesday or we lose the crane
RFI No. 047 Project: Harborview Mixed-Use | Date Issued: 02/27/2026 Discipline: Structural / Architectural Coordination Priority: CRITICAL — Response Required by 03/01/2026 SUBJECT: Beam-to-Wall Conflict, Grid C-7, Levels 3–4 DESCRIPTION OF CONFLICT Structural drawings (S-204) indicate W18×50 at Grid C-7. Architectural plan (A-301) shows 10″ partition wall at same location. Available clearance is insufficient to accommodate beam flange width (8.99″) + wall framing + finish drywall (GWB each side). REQUESTED RESOLUTION (select one) ☐ Option A: Relocate partition wall per architectural revision ☐ Option B: Substitute reduced-depth beam (coordinate with EOR) ☐ Option C: Recess beam into wall — structural adequacy confirmation required SCHEDULE IMPACT Level 3–4 structural framing on hold pending response. Crane demobilization scheduled 03/03/2026. Response required by 03/01/2026 to avoid standby costs.
